Father’s Day 2015 Deal: Buy iPhone 6 For $200 Off

If you’re looking for a great Father’s Day 2015 deal for your tech-savvy dad, look no further, because Verizon is offering $200 off on the iPhone 6.

The deal is available till end of day on June 21, and will feature the same amount of discount on any model of iPhone 6 (whether the base 16GB model or the higher capacity 64GB and 128GB ones). That means that you can effectively get a new 16GB iPhone 6 from Verizon on a two-year contract for free, and the higher capacity ones on a massive discount. It is important to note that this promo is only applicable to existing Verizon subscribers when they upgrade or add a new line to their account. The deal is also applicable to the Verizon Edge program.

For now, the deal is applicable only on the iPhone 6 and not the larger screened iPhone 6 Plus.

Verizon has also made it plain and simple to get advantage of this promo. Even if you’re placing your order online, all you need to do is apply the code DADNGRAD at checkout, and $200 will automatically be deducted from your purchase cost. This, however, is applicable only to the cost of the device, and not to any activation fees or upfront plan charges that might be applicable to your order.

Verizon’s offer for the iPhone 6 comes at a time where the device has already been in existence for a good nine months, and is soon to become second-best when Apple will unveil (speculatively) iPhone 6s this fall. However, considering that it’s a massively capable device and loads better than last iteration’s iPhone 5s, it’s still a worthy buy for $200 off.

Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are Apple’s top of the line smartphones today. The differences between the two mainly lie in their screen sizes (4.7-inch on the iPhone 6; 5.5 on iPhone 6 Plus), camera features (optical image stabilization on 6 Plus) and battery (massive battery on 6 Plus). In terms of their processing capability, both these devices feature Apple’s newest processor and are fully capable of handling everything you might want to throw at them.
