Download: WhatsApp For iPad Finally Released

After 15 years and claims that it’s been in the works for some of them, there is now a WhatsApp app available for the iPad. It’s available for download from the App Store right now.

The new app is a universal binary which means that the iPad version has been added to the existing Mac and iPhone versions of the WhatsApp app.

As a result, you’ll find many of the same features available including support for video calls with up to 32 people. You can also share your iPad screen via WhatsApp, too.

Users of the iPad will also be able to make use of familiar multitasking features including Stage Manager and Split View. The launch of the new iPad app was a stealthy one, and it comes a day after the WhatsApp app quoted a post from April in which someone said there should be a WhatsApp app for the iPad.

The quote simply had a pair of eyes that suggested something was afoot, but there was no indication of exactly when such an app might launch.

Now, a day later, the long-awaited iPad WhatsApp app is here. As for when Meta will launch its first Instagram app, we still don’t know when we should expect it to break cover.

The lack of an Instagram app for the iPad has long been a bone of contention among users who want to browse the social network on a bigger display.
