Apple has today released iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6, but they are far from the only software updates now available for download. Apple has also released macOS 13.5, watchOS 9.6, and tvOS 16.6 for download.
All of these new updates are available as free downloads right now and we’d suggest that everyone gets their hands on them ASAP to ensure that all the latest bug and security fixes are applied.
macOS 13.5
The macOS 13.5 update doesn’t add any big new features although there are minor fixes for Apple News. The usual bug fixes and improvements are included, however. This is likely to be one of the last non-security macOS 13 updates before macOS Sonoma arrives this fall. That update includes much bigger improvements and is well worth keeping an eye out for.
watchOS 9.6
The watchOS 9.6 update is now available for download via the Watch app on a connected iPhone and brings the addition of one minor bug fix to the Apple Watch. Again, watchOS 10 will arrive this fall so that’s the one to look out for here. The watchOS 10 update is a big one and we would definitely consider downloading that once its available.
tvOS 16.6
Apple’s tvOS 16.6 update is now available for download and there are no new software features to note. However, bug fixes and security updates are the order of the day and we’d suggest installing this release ASAP and then waiting for tvOS 17 this fall.
