DigiTimes Says Apple Is Getting Ready To Mass Produce Apple Cars In 2024

Apple Car is the rumor that just won’t die and now a new report claims that the vehicle will be ready to enter mass production in 2024.

Also known as its internal Project Titan name, Apple Car is a project that has been around for a number of years at this point. It still isn’t quite clear whether Project Titan is a complete car that will be sold with Apple branding, or just self-driving tech that Apple will sell to other car companies, but a new DigiTimes report leans into the former.

According to that report, Apple is in talks with Japanese and Asian carmakers and suppliers including Toyota, LG, and more. All of those talks are said to revolve around a requirement to be able to enter mass production of Apple Cars at some point in 2024.

Previous reports suggested we might not see Apple Car until 2025 at the earliest — while some believe 2028 is more likely.

However, it’s important to note right here that DigiTimes doesn’t have a stellar track record in terms of getting predictions and reports like this correct. It’s possible that Apple is aiming for 2024 of course, but that’s far enough out that things could change pretty dramatically between now and then.

Also of note is the fact Apple CEO Tim Cook reportedly wants to launch a big new product before he steps down from Apple. According to Bloomberg, his current deal comes to a close in 2025.
