The last couple of weeks have been of sweeping change for HP, especially its webOS division, as the company announced it would kill of every single webOS hardware product until the end of the year. Soon after, HP's webOS tablet, the TouchPad, began selling for $99, instead of the usual $399, in order to liquidate all remaining stock, yet the response from customers was so overwhelming that HP will actually begin making a last batch of TouchPads.

It's no secret that the HP TouchPad, which launched only a few months ago, has had lousy sales, before being discontinued altogether earlier this week, as part of a larger shift within HP (likely caused by the device's weak performance in the first place). HP, which is probably sitting on quite a lot of stock, is attempting to get rid of it quickly by radically dropping the TouchPad's starting price to as little as $99, starting today.

In an overt attempt to bolster sales, Sony Europe CEO Andrew House has announced that the price of its PlayStation 3 console has been reduced to $249 which equates to a $50 price drop for the 160GB version. The 300GB version has also undergone a price slash, and will set you back the $299 you would have paid for the lower-capacity version until now.
