iBeacon is a powerful mobile marketing platform which has been around for over year now, and just now, Samsung has announced 'Proximity' - the device which is the Korean giant’s answer to Apple's iBeacon.
Samsung is making sure that Apple knows it's not the only one in town when it comes to having people carrying around multiple devices with its logo on, and what better way to do that than to clone the features that let owners of iPhones, iPads and Macs sling data and app states across all three?

Announced alongside the Galaxy Note 4 way back at September's IFA trade show in Berlin, the Note Edge has almost been forgotten, but the handset featuring an intriguing curved display will become available to consumers in the United States as of next week Friday, November 14th.
Samsung is moving fast to release Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Galaxy S5. Those following Samsung's progress with customizing Android 5.0 Lollipop for the TouchWiz UI would know that the Galaxy S5 was earlier seen running an alpha build of the software, and now it seems the company has had another build in the works - a video and screenshots of which have just hit the Internet.
Samsung had already warned that it wasn't going to be announcing stellar profits this quarter, but having now announced the figures themselves it's clear that things aren't going according to plan for the company that was once basically printing money with each new Galaxy S smartphone release.
The Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus haven’t just been popular smartphones among critics and consumers, but in terms of sales, they’ve already broken all kinds of records. Rivaling vendors in the mobile industry have sought to counter, with Google having recently taken the wraps off the Motorola-made Nexus 6 smartphone, but the rampant success of the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus won't have stung any competitor quite as severely as Samsung. The Korean outfit's Note series, considered flagship alongside the Galaxy S line-up, has been a saving grace for fans of handsets with large displays, but even with the Galaxy Note 4 announcement being bolstered by the intriguing Galaxy Note Edge, there's seemingly little that the Tizen maker can do to halt the dominance of its bitter rival.
