Google's Android Wear has been designed in a way that suits the search giant, and as such, products like Apple's iPhone are not officially supported. This will probably change at some point in the future as the watch-tailored version of Google's platform matures, but for the time being, any integration between iOS and Android Wear takes quite a bit of effort and, usually, a jailbreak. One developer has managed to get Android Wear answering iPhone calls without the intervention of a jailbreak, though, and with a demonstration video also supplied as proof, we get, perhaps, a preview of how Android Wear and the iPhone may eventually interact.
It has long been rumored that Facebook would add a payments system permitting those on its network to transfer money between one another, and today, said feature has been announced. After a strong 2015, particularly in terms of iPhone sales, Apple is looking to boost uptake of its prized handset by offering incentives to smartphone owners trading in their Android, Windows Phone, and general non-Apple-running devices. According to a report, Apple Store credit will be offered in exchange for the old devices of prospective iPhone owners, in a concerted push to increase the market share of the smartphone.

Microsoft's Cortana digital assistant has been the subject of rave reviews since first emerging with Windows Phone 8.1, and having begun life as a mobile-based service, will be an integral part of the software giant's wider ecosystem with Windows 10.
