YouTube For iOS (iPhone, iPad) Updated With Live Streaming Support And More

Oliver Haslam·April 16, 2013
One of Google's staple brands, YouTube has a presence just about everywhere. Today sees an update to one of the most popular YouTube apps around - the iPhone and iPad app.

Status Board For iPad Tracks Your Activity In A Beautiful, Infographic-Like Form

Ben Reid·April 14, 2013
Infographics are not only a great way of quickly presenting information about a topic, company or product, but their illustrative form tends to make them very easy on the eye. Status Board for iPad will automatically create a beautiful, insightful and personalized infographic from information found right on your device. This info could take the form of basic apps and activity like tweets, email, weather and news, but with 'pro' panels, graphs and tables allowing you to add your very own data sources, Status Board will really help you paint a picture of your entire digital spectrum.

KeepShot For iPad Allows You To Make Beautiful Photo Books And Have It Delivered To Your Doorstep

Ben Reid·April 10, 2013
With services such as Instagram and Facebook being so popular, it's strange to think that before the day of the smartphone and its umpteen megapixel cameras, we used to place images in physical photo albums and flick through them from time-to-time. Although times have changed considerably in the photography industry, plenty still regard actual photos and albums as part of the 'real' experience, and as such, we've seen a growing number of apps offer the shipping of images on canvas, in a frame, and even on fridge magnets. KeepShot for iPad is another following a similar trend, and allows you to easily create your own Photo Book in-app which is then subsequently shipped right to your door.

Create Charlie Chaplin-Like Stop-Motion Videos On iPhone With ‘Fast Forward’

Ben Reid·April 9, 2013
Smartphones have made it very easy for almost anybody with a vested interest in photography, or cameras in general, to hone their skills. Okay, so Instagram doesn't really count, but you get the idea, and if you regularly use your smartphone to shoot and edit your very own video clips, you may be interested in a nifty little free app by the name of Fast Forward. It allows you to create wonderful stop-motion masterpieces by pre-setting the number of frames you wish to capture, as well as the amount of time between each frame, and the result is breathtaking at times.

GrouPlay For iOS Lets You Collaborate With Friends To Create The Perfect Party Playlist

Ben Reid·April 5, 2013
Music is always a pleasant commodity at a social gathering, and such are the trends of modern technology, that most people have their entire library (or at least, an assortment of favorites) in their pocket at all times. Unfortunately, the rigmarole of chopping and changing between devices to source different artists and songs is an altogether less enjoyable experience, and can make the process rather tiresome at times. Thankfully though, one developer has come through with a solution to this common occurrence, having created an app for iOS which allows all on the same Wi-Fi to curate a playlist mixing songs from different devices. It's called GrouPlay, and although it doesn't solve the issue of cringe worthy dance moves, will allow the party to continue with less interruption.

How To Add Screenshots To iPhone, iPad And Android Device Frames

Ben Reid·April 4, 2013
The native ability of most mobile devices to take screenshots can be incredibly useful, particularly if, like us, you're in the business of reviewing apps and games. As you may have noticed from some of our jailbreak posts, adding a device-like frame can turn a boring old capture into a beautiful, lifelike impression of a device in action, and although Photoshop skills tend to be required for these kinds of edits to be made, you can now add such frames natively on both iOS and Android. We've found two of the best apps in Screenshot - Frame Maker for iOS and Device Frame Generator for Android, and if you'd like to visually enhance some of your screen captures, check out the lowdown on each after the break!

Duke Nukem 2 20th Anniversary Edition For iPhone And iPad Now Available To Download

Ben Reid·April 3, 2013
There's nothing like the re-release of a classic retro title to prompt a rush of nostalgia, and for those old enough to remember, it has been almost two decades since Duke Nukem 2 first released on MS-DOS. Just before the turn of the millennium, it made its second appearance on Nintendo's GameBoy Color, and with December marking the iconic title's twentieth anniversary, another remake has just been released for iOS before being teased back in March. Mode details and download link after the break.

Reeder App For iPad And Mac Goes Free For Limited Time, Development Will Continue Despite Google Reader Shutting Down

Ben Reid·April 2, 2013
With Google having confirmed its intention to cease operation of Google Reader (in spite of hundreds of thousands of petition signatories pleading them to reconsider), Reeder has found itself looking a little bit lost. The app's creator Silvio Rizzi has spent the past couple of weeks trying to assure users of the popular app that it wouldn't "die with Google Reader," but with Rizzi himself lining up one or two projects in the same field, many still suspect the service is about to be culled, the outlook is bleak. On a brighter note, as of today, Reeder for Mac and iPad is free of charge, and we've got the details and download links coming right up after the break.
