Humor: Apple Fanboys Losing It When Watching The Latest Keynote [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·January 31, 2014
When it comes to technology, plenty of folks out there - whether they'd like to admit it or not - are partisan fans of a particular company or product. Some of the most fiercely-contested rivalries in the modern digital era involve Apple, be it versus Microsoft at desktop level or against Android in the mobile arena, and as such, the Cupertino company has its fair share of fanboys. Today, an entertaining little clip has hit the Web courtesy of the guys over Vooza, and gives a rather humorous take on what happens to these Apple fanboys when the company they so worship is running one of its famed keynote events. Check out the video after the jump!

MuscleNerd: Want Jailbreak? Avoid iOS 7.0.5 Until Further Notice

Ben Reid·January 30, 2014
Moments ago, it emerged that Apple had released a minor update for iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c users in the form of iOS 7.0.5. In the release notes, Apple made note of the point that the update amended some issues affecting folks in China, but it wasn't immediately apparent whether the jailbreak had been patched or not. Now, seasoned jailbreaker MuscleNerd has taken to Twitter and urged those eligible for the iOS 7.0.5 update to refrain from doing so.

Apple TV Updated With Red Bull TV Channel

Ben Reid·January 28, 2014
In its continued efforts to update and improve the Apple TV set-top, the company behind the little black box has been upping its game in recent months by securing various content partnerships with well-known providers. Today, an app from Red Bull has been added to that fast-growing list, and the new offering will serve as an extension of the Red Bull TV website; delivering various content relating to music, culture and, as many will be familiar - extreme sports.

Apple’s Valentine’s Day Promo Begins With A Bad Pun

Ben Reid·January 28, 2014
"Love is in the air" is a famous phrase, and one that you're probably going to be hearing ad nauseam as we close in in Valentine's day halfway through next month. Apple has, quite naturally, sought to latch onto this brief period of gift-buying, and with the iPad Air being among its marquee products, used that trusty old saying to its advantage. But while, as the company states on the promotional landing page, "love is in the Air" (like, the iPad Air.. geddit?), the feel-good vibe doesn't extend to any sort of price-cut for the new, and highly sought-after device. Still, there are plenty of gifts lovingly hand-picked by the fruit company, (see, we can all do bad puns), and if you feel like treating yourself (or that special someone) this Valentine's, Apple is looking to reel you in.

Apple Sold Record-Breaking 51 Million iPhones, 26 Million iPads In Q1 2014

Ben Reid·January 28, 2014
Apple's earnings call conferences tend to be of general interest to the wider on-looking tech community, particularly Q1, which covers the lucrative October-to-December holiday sales period. With the iPhone 5s having sold in unprecedented numbers for a new Apple smartphone (or any smartphone, for that matter), and the likes of the Retina iPad mini and iPad Air having debuted, this Q1 earnings call was always going to be impressive, and in actual fact, it was record-busting.

A short while ago, we reported on the news that today marks the 30th birthday of the Mac, and in celebration of this momentous occasion, Apple pieced together a short video clip. But considering how integral the Mac has become not only to Apple's product range, but also to its identity as a company, there was always going to be more to today than just a video clip. Three of Apple's head honchos, including the Cupertino's CEO Tim Cook, have sat down for an interview for ABC News, and although we've only a short preview of the full-length piece set to air tonight, it'll surely be a must-watch for any ardent Apple fan.

WSJ: Two iPhone 6 Models With Larger Displays Releasing This Year, iPhone 5c On Its Way Out

Ben Reid·January 24, 2014
With every new report on Apple's future smartphone movements, the likelihood that we'll be seeing at least one handset with a considerably larger display than the iPhone 5s's 4-inch effort has seemed stronger. Some reputable publications have even suggested that the fruit company may be planning two, and now, The Wall Street Journal has waded in to corroborate this notion. One of the devices will apparently offer a display in excess of the 4.5-inch mark, while the second handset will exceed the 5-inch mark, equating to a significant leap from the current flagship.

iOS 7 Random Crash Fix Incoming, Apple Acknowledges The Issue

Ben Reid·January 23, 2014
Apple's iOS is widely recognized for offering one of the smoothest experiences a user can enjoy on a mobile device, but while it tends to deliver on this notion, it's not without its issues from time to time. Often, new software can be fraught with problems and issues, yet despite having been picked up by millions of users in its first few months, iOS 7 has remained relatively incident-free. It has emerged, however, that some users are experiencing crashes and random reboots, but the good news is that Apple has just released a statement acknowledging the issue, and promised the iDevice-using faithful that a fix is on its way.
