Apple has just released an updated lineup of the MacBook Air with bumped up specs, more details can be found right after the break.
For the longest time, mobile users have been keen on playing racing games on their devices, although all of these have been constrained to the device’s screen. Apple now plans to change all of that with Anki Drive, a new robotic car game shown off by Apple at this year’s WWDC.
Today, as if a reminder was ever required, is the opening morning of Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference, otherwise known as WWDC. If you're reading this, chances are you're eagerly awaiting the revelations and announcements from Moscone West, and with the wait almost now over, here are the details of how, where and when you can watch and follow the coverage.
Well well well, just when you think it's time to settle down for Apple's WWDC keynote someone goes ahead and pulls the rug from underneath you. Just when you think you've got tomorrow's announcements all figured out, someone says just enough for a little bit of doubt to creep in.
We've been heavily reliant on the WWDC logo to offer some kind of indication as to the changes to be made with iOS 7, and with just a weekend now to go before Apple's WWDC 2013 kicks off in Moscone West, the Cupertino company has confirmed the logo of the forthcoming software. As we've come to assume from the reports and rumors of late, the next version of iOS will be very much a clean-up job, and this demonstrated rather emphatically by the new logo. Take a look after the break!
According to a report over at Bloomberg, Apple is to begin an iPhone trade-in program with a little help from wireless distribution specialist Brightstar. The report cites the all-too familiar sources "with knowledge of the plans" in suggesting Apple is planning such a move, but if true, would certainly help to drive up adoption rates of the iPhone 5 as it continues to edge towards the end of its tenure as the Cupertino company's flagship device.
Apple has just updated its iTunes app with a couple of rudimentary improvements and bug fixes. Notably, the bug that would previously cause iTunes to quit unexpectedly when syncing switched from wired and wireless has now been plugged, and a further issue which meant users would need to sign in repeatedly to the iTunes Store has also been sorted out. More details after the break.
Apple TV has managed to transcend beyond being just a little "hobby" device for the Cupertino based company, and now finds itself as one of the company's main media-based consumer products. Although, the intelligent little black box is powered by a modified version of iOS, it doesn't have all of the same functionality that we see on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, such as almost unlimited third-party apps that can be accessed through the App Store. Apple has managed to thrash out deals with various high profile companies to bring their content to the media device, but there are still some services - like Plex - that aren't supported much to the distress of some users.
The notion of Apple bringing out a low-cost iPhone has always been suggested. With such a popular brand at a sky-high price, perhaps it was always going to be an idea teased by the masses. But this year, there's a really strong consensus that there will indeed be a cheaper model to help corner markets like India and China, as well as allowing those with less disposable cash to still rock an iPhone. Today, images purporting to depict the device have been discovered on Weibo, the 'Chinese Twitter,' and although the bumper case, lack of a snap of the front of the device and a lot of blurriness make for a rather suspect leak, we have to check out all possible avenues in our quest to discover this elusive budget iPhone.
The next-gen iPhone has been a hot topic ever since the release of the iPhone 5, and although Apple is famously good at keeping things under wraps until the 11th hour, many have suggested the next-gen device will come with a fingerprint sensor. Today, designer Frederico Ciccarese shows how this implementation could manifest itself on the next-gen device with a concept which also includes a curved display.
