After showing off the demo of SHAtter exploit in action on an iPod touch 4G, the iPhone Dev-Team has now managed to jailbreak the newly released 2nd-gen Apple TV, running iOS 4.1 using SHAtter exploit loaded on PwnageTool. For those of you who don’t know, SHAtter is a low-level bootrom exploit which Apple will not be able to patch with a new firmware. Instead, they will have to introduce a revised hardware for all the current iOS devices to close the loophole. What this means is that once this jailbreak is out, all current iOS based devices will be pwned for life!
iTunes 10.1 Beta has also been released today alongside iOS 4.2 Beta 2. Again, this release is currently meant for developers only, running both Windows and Mac. Except for the support of the new wireless printing feature in iOS, there is seems to be nothing new in this release.
Apple today has released the second Beta version of iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This beta build, like any other iOS beta is meant for developers only. Only members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access these bits of by signing into Apple Developer Connection.
Research In Motion (RIM) today has announced a new product to compete with tablets like Apple’s iPad, and tons of other Android based tablets with their very own PlayBook, the BlackBerry Tablet. With 1Ghz Dual Core processor, 1GB RAM, 1080p HD video playback and HDMI output, this tablet blows away the competition out of the water.
The iPhone Dev-Team has finally shown off a video demo of iOS 4.1 jailbreak on the newly released iPod touch 4G by loading SHAtter exploit in PwnageTool (video after the break). This test version of PwnageTool however is currently for internal testing only. But it will be released later for iPhone 4 users so that they can preserve their old baseband in future for carrier unlock by restoring to the custom firmware file.
Sn0wbreeze 2.0.2 is now available for download. This minor release fixes various bugs which has been plaguing some iPhone users when restoring to iOS 4.1 custom firmware file.
I have got the new iOS 4.1 Game Center working almost perfectly on iPhone 3G, running iOS 4.1. All thanks to the latest Redsn0w 0.9.6 which makes jailbreaking possible on iPhone 3G, running iOS 4.1.
Sn0wbreeze 2.0 was released earlier today. It brings support for a bunch of devices running on iOS 4.1. Like PwnageTool for Mac, you can use Sn0wbreeze 2.0 on Windows to build custom firmware files without upgrading the baseband.
Sn0wbreeze 2.0 is out! Just like PwnageTool for Mac, you can now cook custom firmwares of iOS 4.1 on Windows without upgrading the baseband, which ultimately means that you can use ultrasn0w unlock software to unlock your phone on the older baseband.
