Apple's next-generation iPhone won’t be officially announced until September, but that doesn't stop the rumor mill from going into overdrive early. We won't know exactly what the Apple has in store for us until the covers are removed from the device, but if you simply can't contain your excitement and are happy to base your decisions purely on speculation then you can already purchase a working clone of the "iPhone 6", designed and manufactured entirely from the leaked designs and components over the last few months.
When it comes to voice-enabled personal assistants on mobile devices, Apple and Google have dominated that space, forcing others to either play catch-up or risk losing a percentage of market share from users who require that advanced functionality. BlackBerry hasn’t exactly been up there batting alongside the best-of-the-best in recent years, but while the company may lack traction within the consumer space it still holds some weight with corporate users. In an effort to improve the BB10 experience for that loyal corporate user-base, the company has taken to its Inside BlackBerry blog to officially introduce the Blackberry Assistant, a digital experience that will attempt to rival Siri on iOS and Google Now on Android hardware.
Being able to interact with the world in a different way through touch and audible gestures feels like you've been catapulted into a futuristic, science-fiction movie. But what if there was a way to remove the limitations associated with having to bark out voice commands in public and use nothing more than a little brainpower to get things done with Glass? The future is here thanks to London-based company This Place and its new Glass compatible technology.
There's been so much talk, conjecture and wild speculation about the iWatch over the last 12 months that it's impossible to actually focus on the individual parts of the actual product. Will it be an intelligent watch akin to the Pebble or Galaxy Gear? Are we all barking up the wrong tree by thinking it's a watch when it's actually a wearable packed full of health related sensors? Apple's next product release is fast approaching, meaning that we shouldn't have to wait much longer for the big reveal, but if you're of an impatient disposition then why not head over to the Google Play Store and get the iWatch now?
For a lot of jailbreak fans out there, one of the most important aspects attached to liberating a device is the ability to efficiently access the internal file system. This access could be required for a number of reasons which are beyond the scope of this article, but suffice to say it's undoubtedly an important part of jailbreaking.
It's only going to be a matter of time until every major appliance in the home is connected to our mobile devices in some fashion. We already have kettles that can be switched on via a mobile app; intelligent thermostats that evolve and become more capable based on our behaviors as well as lighting systems that can be altered directly from a companion app to suit or moods at any given time. The possibilities are pretty much endless.
The iPhone 6 is coming, and boy do we know about it. We are currently sitting right at the peak of the speculation and concept stage of the annual release cycle, meaning that each day we can look forward to a new influx of best and educated guesses pertaining to potential device specifications as well as new concept art. There will undoubtedly be an exception to that at some point but today is not that day. Following hot on the heels of yesterday's beautiful iPhone 6 renders from Mark Pelin, we are now seeing a new - albeit very similar - set shown off in multiple colors.
The growing list of "iPhone 6" leaked visuals, components and schematics seem to be never-ending at the moment. Rarely does a day go by at the moment without someone claiming to have inside knowledge of Apple's supply chain through which they have extracted the exact design and visuals of the next-generation iPhone. Rarely do these predictions turn out to be true. Still, the annual pre-release dance is always entertaining, bringing with it some beautiful looking concepts and renders from some of the Internet's best designers. The latest visuals, and perhaps the most convincing and aesthetically pleasing yet, come from designer Mark Pelin and aim to incorporate all of the most reputable leaks into one single artist's impression.
