Microsoft has long been the king of the airplane and flight simulation. Some would call it a game, but those who live and breathe Flight Simulator would probably have a few things to say about that, so we'll just stick to calling it a simulator for the sake of not getting a few thousand angry emails.

A few days ago a video surfaced of one YouTube user comparing the abilities of Apple's Siri and Microsoft's Tellme software. With Siri found on the new iPhone 4S and Tellme being part of Windows Phone 7, it was really only a matter of time before the two were compared head-to-head.
With Samsung recently managing to convince an appeals court to lift the sales ban placed on its Galaxy Tab device, many thought that we might be coming to the end of the long, drawn-out saga which has seen Samsung and Apple fight tooth and nail. Apparently, they were wrong. Apple has now been successful in asking for a one week extension of the ban, apparently in order to give the iPad manufacturer time to appeal the decision.
If you're the owner of an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S, you're probably already acutely aware of just how eye-poppingly awesome that Retina Display screen is. Double the resolution of the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4 and 4S screens just appear to be printed thanks to their super high-res screens. Wouldn't it be awesome if our Macs made a similar jump? According to Cult Of Mac, that is something that Apple could well be working on making a reality.

The idea behind Siri is actually a simple one - to help make interacting with your iPhone as simple as asking it a question, or asking it to perform a task. Using real language, Siri should, at least in theory, be able to understand what you want and then act upon it.
The big thing right now in the world of Android is undoubtedly Android 4.0, or Ice Cream Sandwich as Google has christened it. It may not even be available on any phones in the United States yet, but all the buzz is definitely of the cold sandwich variety.

It would appear that someone at Google isn't going to stop mapping things until they have every square inch of this planet and beyond sat on an Android device for our delectation. This latest release of Google Maps, up to version 6 now, illustrates that point perfectly by taking Google Maps one step further than the awesome features we have all become so accustomed to over the years.
