Photojojo iPhone Wrist Strap Turns Your Phone Into A Wearable Accessory

Ben Reid·December 4, 2012
The iPhone is an accomplished example of polished engineering, but as with all great devices, it's far from perfect. Like many of the large mobile vendors, Apple drip-feeds the features by year, so while the general consumer response is one of positivity - Apple's customer satisfaction regularly scores highest in most fields - it's not like there aren't features out there we still crave. The style of build with any Cupertino device - particularly the iPhone - tends to make hardware modification or upgrade a no-no, but the folk of Photojojo have once again come through with their intuitive wrist strap for the latest and greatest Apple smartphone.

Rockstar Games' iconic Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is ten years old would you believe, and to commemorate the release, the game developer is pushing a reworked version out to those wielding the popular mobile devices. Both iOS and Android will be getting a taste of Vice City on their smartphones and tablets this holiday, and with the release date just days away now, Rockstar has done what it so frequently does, and released some screenshots.

Planning To Play Crysis 3 On Your PC? You Might Want To Consider A Serious Hardware Upgrade

Ben Reid·December 4, 2012
Scarcely does a product get hyped and lauded more so than does a PC game release, and although the upcoming Crysis 3 will be launching on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it's the PC gamers that would consider themselves the most hardcore. In preparation for the title, which is powered by that Crytek CryEngine3, gamers have been bracing themselves for the inevitable spec requirement bump, and with Electronic Arts having just released the details of what kinds of standards your rig will need to meet, let's just say you'll definitely need to put mommy's Compaq to one side for this one.

To-do Lists Mobile For iOS Is A Slick, Minimal App That Helps You Dissect Your Busy Schedule

Ben Reid·December 3, 2012
Of all the various apps currently gracing Apple's iTunes Store, the to-do list offerings rank right up there with the note-takers as the most common. There are literally hundreds of apps claiming to have the perfect combination of interface and features to help you through even the busiest of days, but To-do Lists Mobile by AntLogic is certainly one of the best we've stumbled across so far.

Tunebooth iOS Music Player Brings Gesture-Based Simplicity And Aesthetic Beauty To Your iPhone

Ben Reid·December 3, 2012
The iOS Music app (or iPod app, if you're running on an older firmware version) is a very basic amenity, and although it does exactly what it says on the tin in playing music, it's not the most exciting experience in the world. Tunebooth Music Player by mART is everything your native player isn't, and if you like apps based on gestures, customizable layouts and dynamic theming options, it sounds as though Tunebooth is the app you've been waiting for.

Parents Are Actually Naming Their Babies After Apple Products/Services

Ben Reid·December 2, 2012
It is a well-known fact that many of us have developed something of an attachment to our mobile devices. In fact, some smartphone owners could have their devices stuck to their hands permanently, and nobody would think anything amiss. But some folk – or at least, those with an affinity to Apple - have taken their love for their prized gadget a little further, using familiar Cupertino products as inspiration for child-naming.

Rumored $99 Nexus 7 Could Pack microSD Slot, 1GB RAM And More

Ben Reid·December 1, 2012
Google's Nexus brand of smartphones had been a huge success in the run-up to the Nexus 7 slate released earlier this year, and the 7-inch device proved to be a huge hit with consumers. Not only was it powerful, but it ran on the buttery smooth Android 4.1, and priced a great deal more economically than others out there, has since sold in the millions. Things might be about to get even more interesting, though, because the $99 Nexus 7 we've been hearing about has shown up on benchmarks, and although these things can be faked, shows as packing a microSD slot, as well as 8GB of standard memory.

2012 iMac Benchmarks Reveal Performance Improvement Up To 25% Over Previous Gen iMacs

Ben Reid·December 1, 2012
Such has been the coverage of the iPhone 5 and subsequently, the iPad mini, that the small matter of the radically-redesigned iMac has slipped into the back of our minds. When Apple launched the smaller tablet last month, it also gave us a look at the all-new iMac, and although there was - to the disappointment of many - no Retina display, the new slender look seemed to go down with the on-looking tech world.

Ben Reid·December 1, 2012
China may be the nucleus of Apple's very being in terms of manufacturing, but in terms of product releases, still generally has to wait until the United States, Europe, and much of the world has gotten its fill before seeing the likes of the iPhone and iPad. Today, the Cupertino company has released an official press statement, detailing the release of the iPhone 5 and iPad mini to the increasingly lucrative Chinese market, set to arrive in December.
