Adobe has worked hard to ensure that its range of software products moves with the times, and as well as tailoring the likes of Photoshop and the famed Adobe Reader app for mobile devices, the company has also been pushing plenty of exciting new products of late. Today, Adobe Voice was announced for iPad, and although it sounds like another virtual assistant akin to Siri or Cortana, it’s actually a very neat little app that allows creative folks to dream up their own animated videos.
The App Store isn’t short of apps that allow any user to pick up their smartphone or tablet and play the role of movie director. However, for those who wish to create their own cartoon-like motion picture, but don’t perhaps have the required skills or experience, Apple’s famed portal is decidedly bereft.
So in a sense, Adobe Voice manages to find a niche where we thought that every idea for an app had already been thunk. You can add elements of voice, incorporate photos and icons, include your own sound effects, and not only is it a great deal of fun to use, but could also serve a few practical purposes as well.
Businesses, for example, looking to get a message across to clients in a light-hearted way could create an animated presentation using Adobe Voice, which is – I think you’ll agree – always going to capture the imagination better than the mundaneness of a PowerPoint presentation.
The app is very template-based, so eases you into all of the processes and features, while also giving you enough freedom to come up with something truly unique. Once you’re done compiling your animated sequence, you can, of course, readily share with your friends on the common social networks, and if this catches on like Adobe hopes, we could see some real gems surfacing online.
The direct download link to Adobe Voice can be found below, although do bear in mind that it’s iPad-only, requires an iPad 2 or newer, and will run only on iOS 7.
