The iPhone 16 Pro Is Getting A Taller Display, Analyst Claims

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are both expected to feature new, bigger displays, but analyst Ross Young has now shared new details about what those will actually look like.

Anyone who already believes that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are too big might like to know that Young expects the 2024 models to feature a revised aspect ratio, making them taller.

As a result, the larger displays shouldn’t make for even wider phones than we’re already used to.

Young shared the details in a post to his Twitter Super Followers that was later picked up by 9to5Mac.

According to Young, the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.27-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a 6.86-inch display. The aspect ratio of these devices will be 19.6:9, compared to the aspect ratio of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro lineups of 19.5:9.

In terms of display sizes, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to have a 6.27-inch display while the display will increase to 6.86 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

This is of course all based on information that the display analyst has gleaned from the supply chain and Young does have a good track record for these things.

Young also shared expectations for the iPhone 17 series of devices, with the same display sizes thought to be used in the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus in 2025.
