Tesla Launches Wrap Options For Model 3 And Model Y

You’ve always been able to have your Tesla wrapped by a third party if you didn’t like the color that it came in, but for the first time Tesla is now offering the same option itself. That means that you can have your Tesla wrapped by the company with seven different colors available to choose from.

Wraps are often a good way for people to change the color of their car without having to go through the cost and complication of having a car resprayed.

To be done properly, respraying a car normally involves taking panels off and stripping it down completely, something that can be costly and time-consuming. Wraps don’t normally require quite as much work while also offering different colors and finishes. And they can, of course, be easily removed.

Now, Tesla will do all of that for you so long as you have a Model 3 or Model Y, Electrek reports. The wraps start at $7,500 but do run as high as $8,000 depending on the color.

Available colors are Slip Grey, Satin Ceramic White, Satin Stealth Black for $7,500; and Glacier Blue, Forest Green, Satin Rose Gold, and Crimson Red for $8,000. Apparently stepping outside of monochrome and into the color spectrum adds just a little extra price.

We can only expect that the wrap colors will also be expanded to other Tesla vehicles in the future, with the Cybertruck surely a prime suspect for this. We recently saw a matte black Cybertruck doing the rounds and it looks way better than the standard finish, for example.
