Tesla Launches New Sports Seats For Model S Plaid

Tesla has unveiled the new Sports Seats option for the Model S Plaid, with the company saying that they’re designed to offer more support when driving the high-powered EV.

The Model S Plaid is a sub-2-second car in terms of the amount of time it takes it to go from a standstill to 60mph, and while it isn’t a track car, it’s surprisingly capable when trying to get itself around corners despite its size.

But if you’re the one driving you might want a little more support, and for those people, the new Sports Seats are an option.

In a post on the X social network, Tesla outlined the benefits of the new seats.

These upgraded seats are now being offered as standard on the $90,000 Model S Plaid and will be included preinstalled in all cars that were built from the beginning of April onwards. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be an option to add these seats to any Model 3 Plaid vehicles that are already on the road, however.

The new Sports Seats are also expected to come to the new Model 3 Performance as well, so keep an eye out for that if you’re planning on picking one up.
