We're fast approaching that time of year again. The time of year when tech journalists and anyone else mad enough descends upon the Sin City in order to get their hands on the latest and greatest gadgets the world of tech has to offer.
We all very much live our lives online these days. If you're anything like us, you've got a Twitter account, a Facebook one, another for Google and maybe an Instagram and Flickr account thrown in for good measure.

Step forward Sir Jonathan Ive. That is how Apple's head of design will now be able to officially introduce himself after being made a knight commander of the British empire in the new years honours list. Jonathan is famous around the world as the man who led the design teams who came up with the aesthetics and form factor behind the iMac, Powerbook G4, G4 Cube, MacBook, unibody MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPod, iPhone and the iPad.
It was only yesterday that we brought you the news that the official Facebook messenger for the Windows operating system had been leaked and was doing the rounds as a private installation file. The chat client followed in the footsteps of Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger to offer a full chat service which utilizes the social feed and friends from your Facebook account.

As far as I can remember Steve Jobs didn't release a rap song and I certainly can't picture him writing traditional pop. So the news that he has posthumously been awarded a Grammy Award, as reported by Mercury News, has come as a bit of a shock.
