Pangu Untether 0.3 For iOS 8 / 8.1 Re-released, Here’s How To Update Now

Uzair Ghani·November 2, 2014
The Pangu Untether package version 0.3 has just been re-released on Cydia. This package was initially released yesterday, mainly for 32-bit devices, to fix overheating and over usage of CPU. But immediately after the release, the package was found to cause booting issues on some 64-bit devices and hence was immediately removed from Cydia.

Taimur Asad·October 22, 2014
Whoa. This is just in. Team Pangu has dropped an iOS 8 - 8.1 jailbreak that works on even the latest iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2, along with all previous devices. The jailbreak though is currently limited to SSH only, and it doesn’t come with Cydia installed.

Updated Pangu 7.1.x Untether Jailbreak Package Released On Cydia [Updated]

Ben Reid·August 22, 2014
The Pangu jailbreak for iOS 7.1.x and up has proved a big hit among Cydia fans, successfully opening the door for the second time on iOS 7 after the initial heroics of the Evad3rs. Although the initial tool was a tad unrefined, the Pangu team has frequently updated the utility for a smoother, more secure jailbreak, and having recently rolled out Pangu 1.2.1 featuring bug fixes and AFC2, those already jailbroken can now reap the benefits of these enhancements directly from Cydia.

Evasi0n and Pangu Jailbreaks Nominated For 2014 Pwnie Award, Which One Should Win? [POLL]

Ben Reid·August 5, 2014
To get one untethered jailbreak per major iOS release is a blessing in itself, but even though the job of the jailbreaking scene gets more difficult with each year that passes by, the fact that Evad3rs and Pangu both dropped untethered jailbreaks for iOS 7 was nothing short of heroic. Evad3rs' Evasi0n tool took care of iOS 7.0.x, and when this was eventually plugged, the self-titled tool from the Pangu team took care of iOS 7.1.x. Now, both are up for a Pwnie award in the ‘Best Privilege Escalation Bug’ category, a gathering that highlights the work of those in the field of security research, and although we've no personal affinity to one over the other, we'd certainly love to see a jailbreak team yield such acclaim.

Pangu iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak In English Language For Mac OS X, Windows, Linux Incoming

Ben Reid·June 25, 2014
The jailbreak scene has a rich tradition of releasing jailbreak tools for Mac OS X initially, with a Windows / Linux roll-out following shortly thereafter. However, the Pangu jailbreak collective from China turned the scene on its head in more than one way with the recent release of their untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1.x, and given its Windows-only nature, many folks were left scrambling around trying to locate an old PC. Pangu did promise that a Mac edition would be forthcoming, though, and it has since come to light that the team is currently working to deliver on its promise.

Top 3 Reasons To Update To iOS 7.1.1 And Jailbreak Using Pangu Right Now

Ben Reid·June 25, 2014
The Pangu jailbreak tool for iOS 7.1 / 7.1.1 has meant that every single version of Apple's latest firmware is jailbreakable using one method or another, and although the impromptu nature of this release - coupled with one or to controversies - has put some folks off, it actually makes sense to now update to iOS 7.1.1 and re-jailbreak using Pangu.
