Unlike all the previous email replies from Steve, this one is not about technology or Apple, but about real life. In just two words, Steve has shown his deep feelings, emotion and his human side to the public. I have just been tipped off on twitter about Limera1n.com – a domain which has been registered by the infamous iPhone hacker named George Hotz (aka geohot). The domain whois record for both blackra1n and limera1n shares same record and confirms that it has been registered by geohot on March 27. Whois record also reveals that it was last updated on April 13, almost effectively the same date when geohot successfully jailbroke iPhone OS 4 which makes it even more authentic. Though there is no confirmation about this by geohot himself.
This is to inform you all that the software tool which promised to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 3.1.3 untethered on 05.12.01 baseband for all the iDevices has finally been released. And as I previously envisaged, the tool has now been confirmed as fake. The reason why the file is size is so huge is because the executable file unnecessary packs large amount of random DLL files which does absolutely nothing.
