The idea of a stylus in the modern Digital Age was one that Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs staunchly opposed. But even though the company hasn't officially brought forth stylus support to match the S Pen of many Samsung 'Note' products, this hasn't prevented third parties from trying their hands at creating such accessories for iPad users - particularly those wishing to get creative. The Pencil stylus, which has already been subject to much acclaim and a handful of design accolades, will be getting a healthy software bump to coincide with the release of iOS 8, and with it, users will be able to enjoy pressure-sensitive strokes for the first time.
As a company, Parallels has been responsible for breaking down a number of barriers in its fourteen years of existence. Company’s impressive software has managed to bridge the gap between the world's two most popular desktop operating systems by allowing Windows applications to run almost seamlessly on computers running Apple's OS X. Its Parallels Access for iPad app released last year took things a little further by allowing Windows and Mac apps to run on an Apple iPad. Not wanting to rest on that success, the company has raised the bar again by extending the Parallels Access functionality to grant virtual access to a remote PC or Mac directly from an iPhone or an Android device.

Grand Theft Auto 5 wasn't just the biggest release in the gaming calendar last year, but an entertainment launch of unprecedented proportions, smashing numerous records including many of those consistently claimed by Activision's Call of Duty franchise. But despite incredible successes in 2013, the story of GTA 5 has not yet reached its conclusion, with an upscaled launch headed to the Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 in due course. To give us an idea of just how much better it will look on the next-gen machines compared to those preceding, a new side-by-side clip has been released of the title on PS3 vs. PS4, and as you might imagine, the difference is stark.
The official Facebook app for iPad has just been updated, adding a few intriguing new features that allow gamers to discover titles they may be wish to play, as well as entertainment topics that may pique their interest. There's also an all-new column on the right-hand side that makes the whole app a tad easier to navigate in landscape mode, and its presence follows a similar feature implemented to the desktop version of Facebook earlier this year.
If you like to watch movies and TV shows on your iPhone or iPad, then you're going to want to know about an app that's normally paid-for but now free for a short time.
