The Mactopia team at Microsoft that creates Office for Mac and other software’s for Macintosh platform has just released a minor update to Messenger for Mac. The latest version 7.0.2 of Messenger for Mac only brings slight performance improvement of overall quality and conversations with Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2.
Messenger for Mac 7.0.2 is an integrated communications client that enables you to communicate with contacts within and outside your organization. Messenger for Mac 7.0.2 is a Universal application that is built to run on both PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macs and makes it easy to take advantage of the full power of real-time communications.

For all those Mac users who were eagerly waiting for an update from Microsoft on the most popular & widely used IM network would be really disappointed. The latest version 7.0.2 brings nothing new to table. I did a comprehensive review of Messenger for Mac 7.0.1 and when it was released back in June 2008 where I compared it with Windows Live Messenger on Windows. Sadly, Messenger for Mac is still short on features when it is compared with its Windows counterpart known as Windows Live Messenger.
