While Apple didn’t release iOS 18.3 beta 3 which many iPhone users were hoping for, Apple released tvOS 18.3 beta 3 instead much to the delight of Apple TV users.
This third beta of tvOS 18.3 comes a week after the company seeded beta 2 of the same to developers registered on Apple Developer Program portal.
As for what’s new in tvOS 18.3, while there weren’t any significant additions or changes, source code inside the build hints at Apple’s potential inclusion of support for robot vacuums in HomeKit. This would mean that robot vacuums will be recognized as a supported category within the Home app in tvOS 18.
If you’re interested in trying it out on your Apple TV, the beta 3 version of tvOS 18.3 is now available to registered developers. You can download it from the Settings app on your Apple TV. Additionally, Apple has also released new HomePod 18.3 beta software for compatible HomePod speakers.
Final version of tvOS 18.3 is expected to release later this month alongside final versions of iOS 18.3, macOS 15.3, iPadOS 18.3, visionOS 2.3 and watchOS 11.3.
Update: Apple has also released watchOS 11.3 beta 3 for Apple Watch now.
