Keep Up With Your Nation’s Olympics 2012 Medal Haul With This Notification Center Tweak For iPhone

The 2012 Olympic Games are nearly upon us, and although it’s a great festival and celebration of the human form pushed to its physical limits, there’s also the small matter of the medals. As all countries involved look forward to what will undoubtedly be a great spectacle, many will be hoping their nation manages to not only do well, but bring some medals home in the process.

Here in London, where the games are being held, every other report in the media is regarding this summer’s games, and having achieved a respectable number of medals in Beijing in 2008, the Great British public will be looking for more of the same. The trouble for most expectant supporters, is that all countries involved will have a similar mindset, and the competition for that all-important podium finish in nearly all of the events is as fierce as ever. Even though some of the events have one or two clear favorites, London 2012 will, as is always the case at the Olympics, see the birth of a few new world-beaters.

Once installed, you enable its presence in your Notification Center toggling it as "on" in the Settings app. Then, pull the Notification Center down, tap the country name (Vietnam by default), and you can then select your preferred country by entering its code and choosing a desired name.

It slots into to the Notification Center delightfully, and is easily refreshable by tapping the flag on the left-hand corner.

If you’re on-the-fly throughout this summer’s Olympics, this is the perfect little tweak, and for just $2 over at the ModMyi repository, it’s reasonable value for money. Of course, you must consider the tweak will only be usable for just over two weeks, but this has to be the most convenient method of keeping yourself in the loop.
