iOS 18.4 Beta 1 Release Date Set For Next Week

Wondering when will Apple release iOS 18.4 beta 1? Well, if reports are anything to go by, we can expect its release date sometime next week.

With Apple having released final version of iOS 18.3 last week, many were expecting the company to release iOS 18.4 soon after. But it hasn’t been released yet, not even as beta for developers.

With iOS 18.1, Apple released first-wave of Apple Intelligence features followed by second-wave with iOS 18.2. In iOS 18.3, Apple focused on fixing issues reported in both iOS 18.1 and iOS 18.2. Now with iOS 18.4, we are expecting the company to roll out third-wave of Apple Intelligence features. Third-wave of Apple Intelligence features are expected to mainly focus on supercharging Siri with AI. Siri is expected to receive a major overhaul in terms of its capabilities and it’s this next-wave of Apple Intelligence that is expected to bring this capability to it.

We are expecting Apple to release iOS 18.4 as a developer beta sometime next week, with a public beta as well to follow soon after. Final version of iOS 18.4 will likely rollout in Spring this year.

For those of you who don’t know, the first-wave of Apple Intelligence brought features like notifications summaries, Mail summaries, Writing Tools, Photos app Clean Up tool, Photos app Memory maker, and new Siri animation. The second-wave brought us features like ChatGPT integration, Visual Intelligence on iPhone 16 series, as well as Genmoji, Image Playground and Image Wand.
