Apple’s Magic Trackpad 2 is one of the best input methods around, especially if you work in a field where having a trackpad for gesture use is beneficial to you. Unfortunately, they aren’t the cheapest things in the world and normally cost $129 if you’re ordering from Apple.

Amazon is thankfully helping to cut that price, and is now offering the Apple Magic Trackpad in Silver for just $99 including shipping.

We’ve been huge fans of the Apple Magic Trackpad 2 since its arrival, although we do have to admit that it shouldn’t cost as much as it does. That aside, if you can find a workflow that involves a keyboard, a mouse, and a Magic Trackpad 2, we’re pretty sure you’ll be the most productive person on the planet and should win some sort of award.

Either way, a new Magic Trackpad 2 for less than $100 should not be sniffed at, with features including:

  • Redesigned and rechargeable, Magic Trackpad 2 includes a built-in battery and brings Force Touch to the desktop for the first time.
  • Four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface allow you to click anywhere, and detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing increased functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content.
  • Magic Trackpad 2 also features an edge-to-edge glass surface area that is nearly 30 per cent larger than the previous trackpad. This design, along with a lower profile, makes scrolling and swiping through your favorite content more productive and comfortable than ever.

We’d suggest getting your order in pretty quickly, before someone at Amazon comes to their senses.
