If one good thing is going to come out of the fact that Amazon has acquired Eero, then it’s likely going to be the fact that the online behemoth is now able to offer price reductions to push Eero’s hardware. And that is exactly what is happening with this stunning deal on Eero’s home WiFi system.

If you aren’t familiar with the Eero but are familiar with the pains that come with not getting whole-home WiFi, then you really need to become acquainted with the company that is now owned by Amazon. Eero was one of the companies which initially started pushing the concept of a home-based WiFi mesh system in order to ensure that home-owners can benefit from comprehensive and reliable WiFi around the whole property. At that time, people were adopting range extenders and repeaters but weren’t having the same levels of success that a mesh system brings.

This particular deal is for a whole home WiFi system which includes the main second-generation Eero gateway complete with two auto-detecting Ethernet ports and a third radio which is 5GHz apart from the already existing one. The benefit of this being that it is now 2x faster than the original Eero hardware. The deal also includes two Eero Beacons which are placed in sockets at different points in the property to “complete” the mesh system and make sure that WiFi is distributed throughout the property. Of course, additional Beacons can be added as and when/if you see fit. Some people find that if they build an extension to the property, for example, they may wish to add an additional Beacon to cover that zone.

One of the “Hallelujah” moments of the Eero system is the fact that it comes with an extremely powerful but utterly simple application and setup process which makes this perfect for all levels of competence. Parents and home-owners will also love the fact that individual profiles can be set up and the internet can be stopped or paused on kids’ devices if need be. Very powerful, very versatile, and a great purchase at this price as the company looks to go from strength-to-strength under Amazon’s stewardship.
