Download: macOS 11.2.1 Big Sur Update Released, Fixes MacBook Pro Charging Problems

Apple today released a new macOS update, dropping macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 to the public. The new update can be downloaded via the System Preferences app and then via the Software Update pane.

This new update comes around a week after macOS Big Sur 11.2 was also released to the public but it brings with it a big improvement for users of some MacBook Pro machines.

According to multiple people suffering from the issue, some MacBook Pro notebooks from 2016 and 2017 refused to charge properly with a previous update, causing obvious problems.

The new update is also worth downloading for those who aren’t suffering from problems as well, as ever. The new updates are always well worth installing on your devices to ensure you’re taking advantage of the latest bug fixes as well as any security patches that are involved.

Apple has been releasing more macOS updates than usual of late as it deals with issues. But it’s also said to be beginning to focus on smaller, more frequent updates rather than rarer, larger updates as a way to keep the improvements rolling as frequently as possible.

Have you been suffering from the MacBook Pro charging issue? Shout out in the comments if that’s fixed for you once you have macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 installed.
