In a few hours from now, Microsoft will officially unveil Internet Explorer 9 Beta to the world. Folks at Fast Company have already got their hands on Microsoft’s latest attempt to reinvent the browser. If the screenshots posted below are anything to go by, boy or boy this looks awesome!

It was just April of this year when we first started hearing about an affordable Hackintosh-capable touch-screen Tablet called the Axon Haptic. I was going through YouTube this morning when I came across this video showing a comparison between a Windows 7 based Slate PC and an Apple iPad. What was surprising for me was how in some places the Windows 7 based “Hanvon” Slate did better job than its iPad counterpart - Internet Explorer 8 was faster to load pages than Mobile Safari, the YouTube web app on Windows 7 was certainly loading videos much faster than the native YouTube app on iPad and so on.
There is no question about Windows Vista being a PR failure for Microsoft. But so is iPhone 4 turning out to be one for Apple. Speaking at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference, the Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft Kevin Turner called iPhone 4 a Windows Vista of Apple. "It looks like the iPhone 4 might be their Vista, and I'm okay with that.”, said Turner in his keynote address on Windows Phone 7 at Microsoft WPC. He further added:
As expected, Microsoft today at its Worldwide Partner Conference 2010 has announced the public availability of Windows 7 SP1 Beta, and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Beta for users running the final RTM version of the respective operating systems.
Yet another Build of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Beta has managed to slip through and has landed into the wild just like the previous builds like Build 7601.16537 and Build 7601.16543. This new Build number is 7601.16562.100603-1800 Service Pack 1, v.178 which means that it was compiled on 3rd June 2010.
You can keep on talking about desktops era being over, iPads and tablets killing Windows based netbooks and notebooks, but you cant deny the fact that Windows 7 is by far the fastest selling OS in the history! and it runs on majority of the notebooks/netbooks and desktop PCs near you.
Here is yet another one of those crap-gadgets that are good for nothing. The Sansui P72 is an oversized iPhone clone which is powered by a 1GHz Via C7-M CPU, and backed with 1GB of DDR2 ram and 32GB SSD. It features two USB ports (take that iPad !) along with one that doubles as eSATA, a 1.3 MP webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3 hours of battery life. The 7-inch resistive touchscreen with 800 x 480 isn’t something to write home about. Oh and this Apple clone runs Microsoft Windows XP, with an iPhone OS like interface layer to go on top of it.
Microsoft has just made it official. They have sold a remarkable 100 million licenses of Windows 7 since it’s launch, making it the fastest selling operating system of Microsoft to date.
