Vietnamese are on a role! After the 4th-gen iPhone leak and the refreshed 2010 MacBook, Tinhte.com is now reporting on a new iPod touch 4G with a 2-megapixel Camera. The “DVT-1” stamp on the back of the device identifies it as an early prototype test model. This Foxconn manufactured prototype model boasts of 64GB memory and is running some sort of firmware diagnostic software.
Apple has just released Beta 4 of iPhone OS 4 for developers, along with a new version of SDK for both iPhone and iPod touch. Only members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access these bits of iPhone OS 4 and SDK by signing into Apple Developer Connection.
The title says it all. Based on all the rumors and information that we have come to know so far from the lost Apple iPhone, the folks over at AppAdvice have come up with a complete technical specifications page for iPhone 4G / HD in an Apple like page format.
After all those iPhone 4G leaks from Gizmodo, Vietnamese site Taoviet and the French site BeGeek. A new next-gen Apple iPhone prototype has surfaced again in Vietnam, which shows the phone running some sort of firmware diagnostics software called “Inferno”, similar to what was seen earlier running on iPod touch 3G prototypes.
There is yet another twist in the “lost” iPhone 4G tale. The highly controversial search warrant of Gizmodo’s editor Jason Chen and affidavit (PDF link) has revealed that Brian Hogan’s (the guy who found the lost iPhone in a bar) roommate Katherine Martinson tip has led Apple and cops to the arrest of the iPhone 4G finder. She did this to save herself from any wrongdoings as Hogan used her computer to restore the iPhone OS following the remote wipe by Apple.
The same person who ported Android to the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G is now working on bringing Android OS to an iPod touch (minus calling feature). We were anticipating this one for a while, and hopefully the port will see the light of day soon!
Wi-Fi Sync is now available on Cydia for the jailbroken iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. With Wi-Fi Sync app, you can sync any of your iDevices with iTunes over a Wi-Fi network, just like Microsoft Zune.
According to the latest round of rumors, Pegatron (a subsidiary of ASUStek) is said to have won the bid to manufacture the CDMA version of the next Apple iPhone and that it will be available on Verizon Wireless this fall. If this news that we are hearing is true, then it will certainly bring smiles back on the faces of all the AT&T haters out there. A report from Digitimes speculates the following.
While this could be a Photoshop job, a new “dodgy” shot of the “lost” iPhone 4G in Vietnam has surfaced, which shows the handset running the upcoming iPhone OS 4. It is difficult to conclude on how these guys have tricked the phone into running the OS, considering the fact that Apple must have done a remote wipe following the leak yesterday.
Yea I know its getting boring now but.. after all those huge leaks by Gizmodo, and the Vietnamese site Taoviet, now a French site named BeGeek has got its hands on the 4th-gen Apple iPhone. Apparently, the prototype model seen in these images looks very similar to the one which folks from Vietnam got hold of.
