Redsn0w 0.9.7 beta has been updated today, eliminating the need of externally running usbmuxd process which plagued many Mac OS X users. Everything else remains the same. Bluetooth functionality is still disabled.
AT&T has been exclusively holding the iPhone for three years now, and it looks as if it’s finally going to come to an end soon. Apple is expected to announce the Verizon iPhone in early 2011. BusinessWeek reports that the announcement may not take place at CES 2011, but shortly afterwards, either by or before Valentines Day i.e. February 14th.
The original iPhone caused internal panic at RIM according to a former employee. RIM allegedly held several meetings the day after the iPhone was announced. We have just been tipped off about the possible name for the next jailbreak by Geohot, called Rubyra1n. The domain Rubyra1n.com was registered by the iPhone hacker named George Hotz (aka geohot) on 27th March 2010.

The iPhone developer and hacker iH8sn0w has just teased a screenshot of Sn0wbreeze 2.2 with a new “Baseband Preservation Mode”.
