Avengers Initiative App Released For Select Android Devices
Comic book-based titles have had a great year in both the gaming and motion picture industry, and if you’re a fan of this particular genre, you may want to check out Avengers Initiative for Android. If your device doesn’t run on a Tegra-3 processor, Avengers Initiative is unfortunately not supported, but if you have one of the growing list of Tegra-3 smartphones or tablets currently available – such as the Samsung HTC One X or the Google / ASUS Nexus 7 – then you’ll be able to enjoy a title boasting some very cool visual effects.
Marvel is among the cream of the comic book world, and this latest adventure appears to borrow the format the popular mobile title Infinity Blade. Its entrance onto the Google Play Store ought to be one to savor, however, it will likely serve instead as a reminder to those with older devices that, well, their devices are old.
Such is the fast-paced nature of the mobile industry at present, that your device doesn’t even need to be a year old to be classed as obsolete in certain fields. On the flip-side of the coin, though, if you purposely opted for a smartphone or tablet packing a powerful Tegra-3 processor, so as to not miss out on some of the high-end games Android has to offer, that decision is now paying dividends, and you will be able dive straight into Marvel’s latest marvel.
Characters within the all-action game are susceptible to battle wounds and damage, making things look even more realistic than ever before, and although, having given this a run-out on the Nexus 7, the polish of the special effects are a little, shall we say, debatable, it is still a fun title recommended to any Avengers fan.
It costs $4.99, but this is only an introductory offer, so expect that price to rise at some point in the near future. A full list of compatible devices is available in the description of the Google Play listing (link below), so please ensure your Android supports the game before parting with your hard-earned dollars.
