Windows Mobile 7 / Windows Phone 7 UI has been leaked just a few hours before the official announcement. These shots were captured when the sheets covering these banners were lifted for a very brief moment on Microsoft’s booth at Mobile World Congress. Without any further delay, here is how the latest version of Windows Mobile/Windows Phone is going to look like.

Inspired by the overclocking capabilities of the Motorola Droid, folks at XDA-Developers have managed to overclock the most powerful Android phone available today – the Google Nexus One to 1.113Ghz. It is said to be running faster and is stable at this speed. It will be interesting to see how long can these XDA devs push to see the real potential and capabilities of this Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip.
A new Android 2.1 ROM for Google Nexus One has leaked in the wild. This new ERE36B non-OTA is said to include a new radio, in a bid to fix the ongoing 3G issue which has been hampering T-Mobile Nexus One users since its January 5th launch.
AppSync patches MobileInstallation file on iPhone OS 3.x which is needed in order to install .ipa files manually without using iTunes. I have been asked repeatedly, both by email and in comments about the latest version of AppSync which is compatible to work with the newly released iPhone 3.1.3 firmware.
Some Photoshop magic on the Windows Phone logo posters hanging across the streets in Barcelona has unveiled the name “7 Series” underneath the main logo. This hidden name probably refers to the upcoming Windows phone handsets, which will be powered by Windows Mobile 7.
It wont be long before some newer apps from the iTunes App Store will require you to have the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware in order to install a particular app. Earlier this month, Apple released the new iPhone OS 3.1.3 for iPhone and iPod touch which upgraded the baseband to 05.12.01 for iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, hence making it impossible to unlock them on the latest firmware with the newer baseband.
A working exploit has said to be found by an iPhone hacker named Sherif Hashim. The exploit was sent to iPhone Dev-Team and they have confirmed that it is working but have not given any ETA on when or if they are going to release a tool which is going to unlock iPhone 3.1.3 05.12.01 Baseband for iPhone 3G and 3GS. Maybe they don't want to waste this all important exploit for this minor update and instead will use it when the major update such as iPhone 3.2 or iPhone 4.0 is released with the next-gen iPhone 4G.
Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 V1.5.1 has been quietly released. This minor update brings Youtube fix which was hampering users in the last release. Also added in this version is more speed and reliability. Unfortunately, Blacksn0w unlock for iPhone 3GS is still crippled in this version. If you have iPhone 2G, 3G or iPhone touch 1G/2G, you can use sn0wbreeze to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3.
Microsoft has just released the Release Candidate version of Visual Studio 2010 for public download. You can now download and try out Visual Studio 2010 RC and .NET Framework 4 RC before the final version which is due to hit retail in this first quarter of 2010.
Let me clear this upfront. The following instructions will only help downgrade iPhone 3G which is currently on iPhone OS 3.1.3 with 05.12.01 baseband and older bootloader 05.08. This wont work with iPhone 3GS.
