iOS 9.2 Adds Arabic Support To Siri [Video]

Paul Morris·November 7, 2015
Apple has added support for Arabic language to Siri in iOS 9.2. Apple has been laying the foundations for this level of support for the Arabic language for quite some time. The release of iOS 8 last year brought with it support for Arabic within the Keyboard Dictation and QuickType features. It doesn't seem to be a coincidence that Apple has just opened its first two retail Apple Stores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and now is busy implementing Arabic support for Siri in the soon-to-be released iOS 9.2.

Apple TV tvOS Hacked To Expose Underlying Support For iOS-Like Folders

Paul Morris·November 5, 2015
It's very rare these days that a company can release a new version of a major platform and not have an inquisitive developer dive two feet in to see what goes on behind the scenes. With every single Apple release, regardless of whether it's iOS, OS X, tvOS, or watchOS, it seems that someone gets into the nitty gritty of the platform to see if there are any hidden gems. One of the regular offenders, developer Steve Troughton-Smith, has done exactly that once again with Apple's tvOS 9.0 build and discovered it has built-in support for iOS-like Home screen folders.

Video: ‘Father Of The iPod’ Discussed What An Apple Car Would Look Like With Steve Jobs

Paul Morris·November 5, 2015
Unless you're extremely consumer technology minded, and extremely au fait with everything that goes on internally at your favorite tech company, the name Tony Fadell may not mean anything to you. After enjoying a stint at Apple - where he ended up being referred to as the "father of the iPod" - Fadell is now the current CEO of Nest, the Alphabet-owned company that designs and develops intelligent thermostats and other home automation products. That clearly keeps him busy, but he's managed to find the time to reminisce with Bloomberg TV about his time at Apple under the late, iconic Steve Jobs and had a few things to say about the rumored Apple Car.
