Today, we get a look at what is claimed to be the device's logic board, and although the much-hyped A8 processor is obscured from view, the fact that it's almost fully assembled presents us with our first proper look at what will be one of smartphone's most crucial components.

Android Catches Up With Year Old iPhone 5s By Getting Its Very First 64-bit Processor

Ben Reid·August 13, 2014
Last year's announcement and subsequent release of the iPhone 5s brought quite a few surprises along with it. Sure, we suspected long before the September showcasing that it would include a fingerprint sensor, gold color configuration and several other such treats, but even though we anticipated the customary processor bump, the 64-bit architecture of the Apple A7 caught everybody off-guard. It was a first in the smartphone industry, and while we expect the iPhone 6 to follow suit sometime next month, it also won't be too long before Android L releases adopt 64-bit SoCs as standard.

If you've guessed who we're talking about, then you'll probably know of his high standards in concept design, and if you want to see what the iPhone 6 may look like mid-unboxing, join us after the break.

Thanks to the likes of Google Play Music, accessing the content of our favorite artists and bands is now much easier than ever. Although many of us now utilize services like Spotify in order to stream music, the art of buying a song we happen to like is not completely obsolete, and in the case of Google Play Music's new freebie offer, you don't always have to stump up any money. For a presumably limited time, you can pick up full songs from artists like Katy Perry and Daft Punk completely free, and given that we don't know how long the offer's going to last, you'll want to get in quickly to avoid disappointment.
