If a game gets to see the kind of the success as the Need For Speed franchise, a motion picture tends to be something of an inevitability. The Need for Speed movie, which has already been confirmed for those that missed the memo, pretty much writes its own script, and as a recently released teaser trailer demonstrates, this flick is going to give The Fast And The Furious a run for its money for pulsating, rubber-burning, white-knuckle racing madness. The video is a must watch and can be found right here after the break!

What with Nike and Apple being pretty big pals - the Cupertino company's CEO Tim Cook is, after all, a board member at Nike - the FuelBand is heavily supported by iOS devices and not much else. The official FuelBand app for iPhone can only be found over at the iTunes App Store, but third party developers have been hard at work in bringing support for those wielding devices on other platforms. Here, we take a look at Fuelboard, an unofficial FuelBand app for those languishing on Microsoft's fledgling Windows Phone platform. More details and download link can be found right after the jump.
Google Glass may only be in the hands of developers, creative individuals and one or two competition winners, but that hasn't prevented the world of tech from getting itself excited about the search giant's wearable tech. Last month, we saw one such creative, Adam Bell, had managed to route iOS notifications through to Glass using a contraption he'd thrown together, and now, a tweak has emerged offering a simpler way for such a process to be achieved. More details and where to download from, can be found right after the break.
Samsung has long since shown more than just a fleeting interest in the photography, and has further underlined its intention to improve the options available to camera lovers by announcing yet another Android-based camera. The Galaxy NX Camera, which the Korean company just unveiled at its Premiere 2013 event today, packs an impressively large, 20.3-megapixel sensor, and with interchangeable lenses, is certainly a step up from last year's Galaxy Camera
As we heard a couple of days back and thus, expected Facebook to announce at its next "big idea" event today, the social network has stepped out and confirmed that Instagram will indeed be bringing Vine-like video support, meaning users will be able to record and keep short, memorable clips alongside their snaps. The announcement could well spell the beginning of the end for a Vine app that has been making reasonable headway in recent times, while also helping to expand and broaden Instagram's already seemingly insatiable appeal.
Microsoft's ambiguous, stingy and questionable Xbox One DRM policy was dramatically ditched by the Redmond company after a backlash from bemused gamers, and that decision looks to be paying dividends already, with Xbox One pre-orders having surged ahead of the PlayStation 4 in the UK, according to Amazon. Don Mattrick piped up a short while ago to declare that the online checks on games and the policies concerning used games had been completely dropped, and since then, it would seem the gaming community sees the forthcoming Microsoft console as a much more palatable acquisition.
In terms of what was announced, Apple’s WWDC event produced very few surprises, but the extent to which the changes were made, particularly with regards to iOS, have certainly left a lasting impression on the technology world. If you missed the action last week, or simply want to relive the shenanigans, then a full replay of June 10’s keynote speech at the Moscone Center is now available to view online on YouTube.
Having an iPhone in your pocket is not only a one-way ticket to endless possibilities in gaming, browsing and productivity, but the native internet tethering feature ensures you have a personal hotspot right there whenever you need it. Provided, of course, you have decent cellular coverage, you can fire up your notebook, tablet, or any other Wi-Fi capable device, and connect straight to the World Wide Web. But while Apple tries to offer a helping hand by automatically generating a password for you, it has emerged that the random assortment of characters that the Cupertino company fires up for you may not be as secure as you’d hoped.
Sony has gone to great lengths to gatecrash the Xbox One launch event by showcasing its PlayStation 4 right atop the ceremonious entrance of the next-gen Microsoft console, and to further push the PS4 envelope, the Japanese electronics giant has just introduced a new video showing off some of the machine's features. Included in the new clip are some glimpses of the next-gen user interface, a look into how the so-called video sharing feature will work, as well as insight into game downloads. Check out the details, as well as the video, after the jump.
Apple TV may not be the all-singing assault on the television market as envisioned by the late Steve Jobs, but far from treating it like the "hobby" as once described by CEO Tim Cook, the Cupertino company is pressing ahead with updates. Today, Apple TV software 5.3 has been released for the second and third generation iterations of the little black set-top box, and now, users will be able to catch content from HBO and ESPN right from the Apple TV, negating the need for any kind of direct cable subscription. Details after the break!
