Facebook Launches ‘Rooms’, An Anonymous Chat Room App For iPhone [Download Link]

Aatif·October 24, 2014
Back in the old days of the Internet, one thing that thrived above everything else was the concept of chat rooms. People would spend hours and hours in IRC rooms, hiding behind pseudonyms and being whoever they wanted to be. In the days of Java-based feature phones, applications like Mig33 and Nimbuzz attempted to bring this concept to the world of mobile communication as well, but they didn't meet much luck at that. The same concept that was massively popular on computers, never really caught on on the cellular world.

iOS 8.1 With Apple Pay Gets A Release Date

Aatif·October 17, 2014
Apple's today's special event has been expected to carry a number of announcements, including those of the new iPad Air 2, the iPad mini 3, and all the changes and innovations to the Mac lineup. Then there have been announcements like updates to the iWork suite, availability of the iCloud Drive and the OS X Yosemite final version, among various others. Well, significant one among those concerned the public release of iOS 8.1 - the first major update to Apple's iOS 8.

Mac mini 2014 Announced: Here Are The Details

Aatif·October 17, 2014
Today's special event hosted by Apple at its Cupertino headquarters saw quite a few updates to Apple’s device lineup, which includes the all new iPad Air 2, the iPad mini 3 (with Retina display), the gorgeous 5K iMac, and a number of software enhancements and announcements available either today, or promised just round the corner for next week. One small yet significant product announcement, that, for some, might have even gone unnoticed, was an update to the Mac mini. That's correct; after all these years, Apple has finally announced an update to the square box computer that's hardly any bigger than a set-top box for your PC yet rivals many competitive desktop PCs in power and features.

Here’s How You Can Create Nested Folders In iOS 8 [Video]

Aatif·September 30, 2014
When Apple first introduced folders in iOS way back with the iOS 4 release, it was largely laughed at by Android fans for being flimsy and barely functional. They had good reason to do that, too; Android has had a much functional, not to mention useful, folder organization system since time immemorial, whereas iOS' initial attempts were lousy and half-baked at best. In fact, there were so many lacking bits and pieces, and glitches, that one of them ended up serving a purpose that wasn't originally intended; the ability to nest folders within folders. It appears that the same glitch has carried over all the way to iOS 8 as well, and using the same technique (which we'll describe going forward for the uninitiated), you can nest folders within folders even in iOS 8 and iOS 8.0.2.

Poll: Did iOS 8.0.2 Fix Your iPhone 6 And iPhone 6 Plus Woes?

Aatif·September 27, 2014
iOS 8, which saw the light of day merely 10 days back, held so much promise for users in terms of new features and apps. Yet, the public release of the new iPhone and iPad software was plagued by bugs and issues all over. To that end, Apple had to push out iOS 8.0.1 in less than a week to fix some of the major challenges and bugs in the new software. However, iOS 8.0.1 turned out to be a tragic story of its own; the "fixed" update broke more than what it had patched. For most iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users, the update ended up breaking cellular service and Touch ID, effectively making their shiny new iPhones a smaller version of the iPad mini (with a beefed up hardware). Thus came iOS 8.0.2.

LG Pokes Fun At iPhone 6 Plus Bendgate Using… Twitter For iPhone [Screenshot]

Aatif·September 26, 2014
Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are barely out, and akin to the famous Antennagate that plagued the iPhone 4 when it was revealed, these two have sprouted a new debate over the “Bendgate” fiasco as it is being called. In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last few days, Bendgate essentially refers to the iPhone 6 Plus getting bent under pressure, or, in some cases, just by being kept in the pocket for extended periods of time.

Camera+ 6.0 For iOS 8 Released With Full Manual Controls For iPhone

Aatif·September 26, 2014
iOS 8 opened up the iPhone camera API to developers, allowing them to take full advantage of all of the power hidden inside the very capable shooter. Even though the native iOS Camera app is pretty barebones, the new APIs have allowed third-party app makers to get creative with the iPhone camera. So far, a few apps have sprung forth that claim to give you a higher degree of manual control over the iPhone camera, but none have been able to impress so far. Either they were plagued by inconvenient controls, smallish sliders, or an incomplete feature set. Enter Camera+, with its version 6 update that has just been released to the iTunes App Store. The famous camera replacement app has just received a massive makeover, going full manual, and we’ll tell you what the fuss is all about right after the break.

Contract-Free T-Mobile iPhone 6 And iPhone 6 Plus Is Unlocked If Bought From Apple

Aatif·September 20, 2014
The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are well and truly here, and judging by the long lines seen across the world today outside numerous stores, Apple has yet another hit on their hands. But there are still a few lingering questions regarding the device which are begging to be answered, and the one that tops our list is: is the T-Mobile iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus - available on the Apple Store - fully carrier unlocked?
