Mophie has officially released two multi-device wireless charging products into the US market. After initially being announced and showing up as being available for other countries, bith new products are now available for sale via Apple Stores.
Remember when Apple announced AirPower and the world lost their minds in eager anticipation of a charging pad which could charge multiple devices at one time?
Well, Apple may not be pursuing that magical dream but it seems that Mophie has grabbed it with both hands and ended up with the release of a dual wireless charging pad as well as a 3-in-1 wireless charging pad. Both are wirelessly capable and both can handle charging more than one device at any given time.
The first and smallest of the two new Mophie charging products is the dual wireless charging pad. It is capable of charging two wireless iPhones, wirelessly compatible AirPods, or a combination of the two. It offers quick and efficient charging and also comes with a separate USB-A port which allows a third device to be charged at the same time. Consumers could easily charge their smartphone, AirPods, and an Apple Watch using the additional cable insert.
The 3-in-1 wireless charging pad takes things to the next level and looks to try and provide a similar experience to how we imagined Apple’s AirPower product. It offers space to charge two devices at the same time as having a dedicated space for Apple Watch.
It is definitely more versatile and powerful than the dual wireless charging pad but also comes with certain limitations, namely that each device has a specific place on the device, which removes some of the freedom and flexibility which were part of the AirPower dream.
If you opt to purchase the dual wireless charging pad directly via Mophie it will set you back $80.00. If you prefer to hand your money over to Apple instead, then the same product will cost $99.00. The 3-in-1 wireless charging pad is currently an Apple-only exclusive and is available for $140.00. It can be purchased with either a black or white finish. If you are looking for a convenient and flexible way to charge your devices, then Mophie could have the goods for you.
