Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro devices in September, and a new report suggests that we should expect to pay more than usual to get our hands on one.
That report comes via MacRumors, citing an investor note by Jeffereis analyst Edison Lee. According to the report, we can expect that the new iPhones will cost $50 more than their iPhone 16 counterparts.

It’s thought that the new price increase will apply to all of the new models, with the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max costing $50 more than the models that they replace. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to take the spot of the iPhone 16 Plus in this year’s refreshed lineup.
Buyers of an iPhone 16-series device will pay anywhere from $799 to $1,199 for the lowest storage capacity model. The price hike means that the figures will shift to a starting price of $849 all the way to $1,249.
