2024 Tesla Model S/X Refresh To Gain New Bumper Camera And Ambient Lighting, Report Claims

Tesla is reportedly getting ready to update its Model S and Model X premium electric vehicles as soon as later this month, with a new look coming to the front and insides of the vehicles.

While these are the two most premium models in Tesla’s lineup they have both started to lag behind the Model Y and Model S in terms of features and aesthetics, but a new report by Not a Tesla App claims that changes are afoot and that they will arrive in early March.

According to the report, both of the vehicles will get a new front bumper camera that is designed to improve visibility at the very front of the vehicle. “The camera integration into Tesla’s existing camera application suggests a seamless user experience, allowing drivers access to a front view that enhances overall vehicle awareness and safety,” the report notes.

On the inside, drivers of the upgraded models should also expect ambient lighting similar to that seen in the Model 3, Cybertruck, and Model Y.

These thin light strips, embedded near the top edge of the vehicle’s doors and curving around the dashboard and all the way to the back seat, offer a near 360-degree lighting effect, setting a high-tech ambiance within the cabin.

With the report citing unnamed sources, it seems pretty convinced that the changes are on the way in early March so all eyes are no on Tesla to see what happens over the next couple of weeks.
