MacRumors is reporting on a new job posting by Apple which reveals the possibility of video-capturing capabilities in the next-generation models of Apple iPad. According to the job posting, Apple is looking for a assurance engineer in Media Systems division of their Interactive Media Group which will focus on testing frameworks for digital camera technology in iPad Media segment.

We informed you all yesterday about a Core i7 MacBook Pro, which was recently spotted in a Geekbench benchmark report. And now it seems like Apple may be set to launch one of these as early as Tomorrow. According to a French site named Nowhere Else, Apple will refresh its MacBook Pro lineup tomorrow just in time for the start of Macworld Expo.

An iPhone repair site by the name of iResQ today has received some iPhone parts, which they claim are from the upcoming next-gen iPhone which is expected to launch in summer of this year. The interesting bits which they found from this new iPhone 4G shell are as follows.

Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 V1.5 has been released which adds support for iPod touch 2G (older non-MC model). For those of you who don’t know, Sn0wbreeze is a jailbreaking tool like PwnageTool for iPhone and iPod touch which can be used to create custom .ipsw files. But unlike the PwnageTool, Sn0wbreeze is fully compatible to work with Windows machines.

PwnageTool 3.1.5 for creating iPhone 3.1.3 custom ipsw files is now LIVE! The infamous iPhone Dev-Team has updated their PwnageTool for Mac to make it compatible with the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. This latest version of PwnageTool can jailbreak the original iPhone (Edge/2G), iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS(older bootrom only with baseband 04.26.08) and iPod touch (1G and 2G non-MC model; 2G should also be pre-jailbroken) running on iPhone firmware 3.1.3. The custom .ipsw firmware files created with PwnageTool can update iPhone to firmware 3.1.3 without updating its baseband so that it can be unlocked to run on any carrier SIM. If you previously relied on blacksn0w unlock for iPhone 3GS, then this is NOT for you. iPod touch 3G is also currently not supported.

The iPhone Dev-Team has just confirmed (sort of.) that they are working on a new version of PwnageTool which will enable iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 firmware without having to update their baseband. For those of you who don’t know, PwnageTool, like Sn0wbreeze is an iPhone jailbreaking tool which creates custom .ipsw files without the upgraded baseband.

The final version of Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 V1.4 is now available for download. This minor update fixes the iPhone 3GS issue which was hampering users in the last release. It also brings support for iPod touch 1G. For those of you who don’t know, Sn0wbreeze is a jailbreaking tool like blackra1n, redsn0w and PwnageTool for iPhone and iPod touch which can be used to create custom .ipsw files. But unlike the PwnageTool, Sn0wbreeze is fully compatible to work with Windows 7/Vista and XP machines.

Folks at PPCGeeks have grabbed first exclusive details on the upcoming Windows Phone 7 (or Windows Mobile 7) related announcement ahead of this month’s MWC (Mobile World Congress). Without any further delay, here is what Windows Phone 7 is rumored to feature.

Sony Ericsson Aspen is the first Windows phone which is powered by the newly released Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Sergey Kuzmin over at Mobile-review has got hold of a pre-release test unit, which he has lovingly demonstrated running WinMo 6.5.3. Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 is now available for download which can jailbreak iPhone 2G, 3G and iPhone 3GS (old bootrom only) on iPhone OS 3.1.3. We have already published a detailed guide on how to jailbreak using Sn0wbreeze and unlock using ultrasn0w. Ultrasn0w unlock is for iPhones with baseband 04.26.08 baseband. If you are on 05.11.07 baseband, then you may use Geohot’s blacksn0w unlock which was released last year with blackra1n.

Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 for Windows brings jailbreak for iPhone 2G, 3G and iPhone 3GS (older bootroms only) which can preserve your older baseband while upgrading you to the latest iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware. This means that you can now unlock your iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS using the current version of ultrasn0w (for 04.26.08 baseband) or blacksn0w (for 05.11.07 baseband) as they both are compatible to work with the respective older baseband versions.

Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 has been released which can jailbreak iPhone 2G, 3G and iPhone 3GS on the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. One thing which is to be noted here is that it will work with iPhone 3GS only if it has the older bootrom (non-MC model). iPhone 3GS users who have upgraded to the stock 3.1.3 are still out of luck.

The Release Candidate (RC) bits of Office 2010 along with Office Web Applications are now available for technical beta participants via Microsoft Connect. Microsoft at the moment is in the process of sending out invites for Office 2010 RC program, so if you have received one then you can now immediately download and evaluate Office 2010 RC Build 14.0.4734.1000 before the public availability. Office 2010 RC is available in both 32 and 64-bit flavors.

George Hotz (aka geohot) has confirmed via his twitter account today that his blackra1n and blacksn0w tools are currently not compatible with the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. This new firmware brings 05.12.01 baseband for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G which restricts jailbreaking and unlocking on newer devices.

Google today has released a significant update for their flagship Android phone – Nexus One almost right after when Apple pushed firmware 3.1.3 for iPhone users. This new update (ERE27) for Nexus One brings the much needed official support for multitouch in Web Browser, Maps and 3D Gallery. You can now finally use pinch-to-zoom gestures just like how you can on an iPhone. This update also fixes the 3G issue which has been bugging T-Mobile users. The iPhone Dev-Team has just released redsn0w 0.9.4 to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G (No unlock for 3G), iPod touch 1G and iPod touch 2G (older Non-MC models only). Do not update to iPhone 3.1.3 firmware yet if you want to preserve your unlock for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2G (new models) and iPod touch 3G. This is because the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware updates baseband to 05.12.01 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G which makes it impossible to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 3GS and 3G.

The newly released iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone and iPod touch brings bug fixes and more stability for iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G and iPod touch users. Since Apple has fixed most of the loopholes which were exploited for jailbreaking and unlocking iPhone 3GS, 3G and newer iPod touch 2G and 3G models are currently unjailbreakable until new tools are released. Fortunately for iPhone 2G and iPod touch 2G(older models only) and 1G users, you can use redsn0w 0.9.3 to jailbreak your device on iPhone 3.1.3 firmware.

The newly released iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone and iPod touch updates baseband to 05.12.01 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, hence making it impossible for these two devices to get unlocked using blackra1n with blacksn0w. Fortunately for iPhone 2G (the first generation iPhone with EDGE) users, the baseband remains intact. The iPhone DevTeam has just confirmed that their newly released jailbreaking tool called redsn0w 0.9.3 can be used to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 2G on firmware 3.1.3, provided that you have jailbroken it previously at least once.

After releasing an update to iTunes (version 9.0.3) yesterday, Apple today has announced the new iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware for iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch. One thing which is to be noted here is that this isn’t the same version which runs on the newly release Apple iPad (OS 3.2). If you currently rely on your unlock for iPhone 3G and 3GS, we highly recommend you not to upgrade to this new iPhone OS 3.1.3 unless and until new tools are made available from the likes of George Hotz and the infamous iPhone DevTeam. Upgrading to iPhone OS 3.1.3 now may result in your device getting potentially locked forever.
