Apple has seeded a testing build of iPhone OS 3.1 to its developers. This version is for development and testing purposes only and should be installed on devices dedicated to iPhone OS 3.1 beta software development. This new beta build doesn’t seem like that much of a huge update or a needed update to me, but these extra speed boosts and bug fixes are certainly welcome.

Here is a cool sneak peak of the upcoming portable media player from Microsoft. The video demonstrates some of the cool new multitouch of the Zune HD. The accelerometer on this thing is damn fast, much faster than it is on my iPhone 3G. Wish they have demonstrated the web browser on the Zune HD which is yet to be seen. Some users who have recently updated/restored to the new iPhone firmware 3.0 have reported to have got into a problem where their phone randomly doesn’t ring when there is a call nor does the keyboard or slide to unlock button sound anymore. I got into this problem as well after unlocking and jailbreaking my iPhone 3G with firmware 3.0, my iPhone suddenly stopped ringing on calls randomly, resulting in missing a lot of important calls.
