Tesla Teases Interior Of Its Upcoming Robotaxi

Tesla has been talking about a Robotaxi vehicle for years now, and CEO Elon Musk continues to believe that future Tesla owners will be able to have their vehicles earn money by taking people on rides all of their own accord.

But there’s so far little sign of anything close to this becoming a reality, although a new post on the X social network might have given us a glimpse at what Tesla believes the inside of a Robotaxi might look like.

The glimpse comes via a video posted to the Tesla X account that seems designed to try and get people to agree that CEP Elon Musk should be given a $55 billion compensation package.

Tesla shareholders will have to vote on the package, while a vote on moving the company’s incorporation to Texas will also take place.

All of that aside, the video appears to show artwork of what could be the interior of a future Robotaxi, assuming such a thing happens to exist. The art doesn’t match anything that we’ve seen before but does seem to have the familiar Tesla display front and center.

As Electrek notes, the seats shown in the artwork don’t appear to be like those normally found in a personal vehicle but rather match something that you might find on a bus or a train, suggesting that they are designed for public use with comfort perhaps not the main focus.

Tesla will apparently unveil its Robotaxi officially on August 8, and it supposedly plans to bring it to market as soon as next year. However, given Tesla’s inability to hit its own timelines we’ll believe that when we see it.
