Jailbreak iOS 17.5.1 On iPhone And iPad [New Status Update]

Looking to jailbreak iOS 17.5.1 on your iPhone or iPad? Here is the latest status after Apple released its latest software update.

Unfortunately, the jailbreaking situation remains challenging for enthusiasts. Apple’s continuous updates have made jailbreaking newer iOS versions increasingly difficult, and iOS 17.5.1 is no exception.

This latest update adds an important bug fix that relates to an issue that caused some people to have deleted photos reappear and for that reason, we recommend installing it immediately. For jailbreakers, there’s really no reason to wait.

Currently, no public tool is available to jailbreak iOS 17.5.1, and even older devices that were previously jailbreakable don’t support this update. Those devices cannot be blocked by Apple because of the nature of their jailbreak exploit, but the lack of support for the latest versions of iOS means you’re out of luck regardless.

The jailbreaking community is still active, so there might be future breakthroughs. For now, patience is key as developers work on potential solutions but right now there is little indication that anything is afoot.

Thankfully, Apple has added most if not all of the features that people sued to jailbreak their iPhones for. But if you’re absolutely dead set on jailbreaking we would suggest crossing your fingers or picking up an older iPhone from the iPhone X generation of devices. Just don’t expect to be able to install iOS 17 on it.
