Oliver Haslam·March 10, 2013
With Sony recently announcing the highly anticipated fourth generation PlayStation, and Microsoft heavily rumored to be working on its own next generation Xbox, all the talk if the town right now is very much centered on what the new game consoles will be able to offer to not just games, but also game developers.

Developer Claims New Xbox Isn’t All About The Games

Oliver Haslam·March 9, 2013
Jonathan Blow is something of a hot property in gaming circles these days. The man behind the wildly popular and critically acclaimed Braid is also one of the more outspoken developers in the industry, and in a recent interview with gaming publication EDGE, the man that thought up one of Xbox Arcade's sleeper hits was typically frank.

Ben Reid·January 30, 2013
Earlier this month, Activision announced that a 'Revolution' DLC pack would be arriving for those on Xbox 360, and, as promised, the pack is now available for 1200 Microsoft Points. Announced via the blog of Larry Hryb - better known as Microsoft's very own Major Nelson - Revolution offers four new multiplayer maps, a new weapon in the Peacekeeper hybrid SMG-Assault Rifle, and the eagerly-awaited Zombies Co-op Map - Die Rise - which puts the player in the role of Zombie rather than the traditional position as Zombie slayer.

Black Ops II ‘Revolution’ DLC Arriving On January 29 For Xbox, Features New Weapons, Modes, Maps & More

Ben Reid·January 15, 2013
Call of Duty: Black Ops II may have been the biggest selling title since, well, Modern Warfare III, but Activision hasn't gotten to the top of the gaming tree by resting on its laurels. As such, the publisher will be releasing a DLC pack at the end of this month for those rocking Microsoft's Xbox 360 console, and as you can probably gather, it features numerous new maps, modes and weapons in order to maintain the seemingly infallible captivation gamers have with the rampant CoD series.

Microsoft Wordament For iPhone Released, First iOS Game With Xbox LIVE Achievements

Ben Reid·December 22, 2012
Microsoft has released a brand-new title to iOS, and although it is by no means the Redmond company's first game for the Apple platform, it is the first time an iOS title has packed Xbox LIVE Achievements. So not only can you have fun with yet another brain-teasing puzzler, but you can also top up your Gamerscore in the process. It's called Wordament, and is absolutely free to download over at the App Store. Details, as well as that all-important download link, are coming up after the break.

The Redmond based company have announced that they are committed to launching a total of 43 new apps between now and the Spring of 2013, with a large portion of the new app releases hitting the market immediately. Although some territories may not see the new additions for the next few days as they propagate through the system.

Crimson Map Pack For Halo 4 Released, Available To Download For Xbox LIVE Users

Ben Reid·December 10, 2012
Call of Duty may have taken the plaudits as the biggest console release of the year, but just prior to that, the record - albeit short-lived - was held by Halo 4. Being the first major Halo release post-Bungie, many were apprehensive and skeptical about whether the popular franchise could once again pull in the gamers, but the early sales figures have certainly proved otherwise. Halo 4 fans whom adopted the game early have another treat in store today as the initial installment of the Crimson Map Pack becomes available. It's the first of three in a series, and will set you back 800 Microsoft Points for three new multiplayer maps. Want details? We've got 'em after the break!

Microsoft Sold 750,000 Xbox 360 Consoles In The U.S. On Black Friday 2012 Holiday Weekend

Oliver Haslam·November 28, 2012
It may be almost seven years old, but Microsoft's Xbox 360 shows no sign of being ready for the scrap heap. With plenty of huge titles released recently like Halo 4 and Black Ops II, the console is still going strong. So strongly, in fact, that it seems we just can't get enough of Microsoft's PlayStation competitor.
