Windows Vista

You might want to see the Gates/Seinfeld Ad again

Imran Hussain·September 7, 2008
I came across a higher quality version of this very same at the Microsoft Windows website. Based on Silverlight, with the elegant curves, it makes me want to watch Bill Gates buy those shoes (and hear Seinfeld’s not-so-funny dialogues again) just one more time.

Windows Application Specific Glass Colorization?

Imran Hussain·September 5, 2008
Microsoft might be introducing application specific glass renderings. The color of the glass frame around a window can be changed in Vista, but the change is global to the system. The color of any particular window glass frame can not be set by choice. But, how about being able to change the color/opacity level of a the glass frame of any application through defined events or commands?

Imran Hussain·August 23, 2008
Virtual Desktops are an integrated feature of OS X and Linux, but have always been an add on functionality in Windows. Windows XP had a powertoy for this, but for Vista there hadn’t been anything available till now, from the Microsoft Sysinternals team. Does it stand well against the competition? Read on for more!

Windows Dancer works on Windows Vista with limited functionality

Taimur Asad·August 14, 2008
A few days ago I wrote about the possibility of Microsoft making Windows Dancer available as Ultimate Extras for Windows Vista Ultimate users. After doing some research, I found out a way to have Windows Dancer and yes it works(not fully) under Windows Vista. Windows Dancer was essentially a part of Microsoft Plus! Digital [...]

Windows Dancer for Ultimate Extras?

Taimur Asad·August 10, 2008
Windows Ultimate Extras has altogether been a real sorry story from Microsoft. Many of us Windows Vista Ultimate users feel like having been ripped off our money for Ultimate Extras which promised a lot but delivered very little. Before shifting full time to Windows Vista in late 2006, I used to have Windows XP [...]
