His blog post clears out much of the confusions, that many of us are having regarding the uncertainty on release dates for iPhone 3.1.3/3.2 jailbreaking tools.
The infamous iPhone hacker Geohot has just posted keys to decrypt iPhone 3.2 for iPad. These keys allows you to decrypt iPad .ipsw files so that you can explore it for exploits. This is what he said on his blog.
We saw a video a few days back in which Geohot performed an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3. This will most probably also work on the iPhone 3.2 firmware for iPad. In the meanwhile, another iPhone hacker by the name of comex released another video, which showed off untethered userland (browser based) jailbreak for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. This new userland jailbreak of iPhone 3.1.3 by comex has now been given a name – say hello to “Spirit”, an untethered userland jailbreak for iPhone.
Apple has just released the final version of iPhone OS 3.2, along with SDK for iPad. This final version of iPhone OS 3.2 and SDK for iPad has been released only a few days before the first batch of iPad pre-orders ships this coming weekend on April 3rd. The last Beta 5 was released on March 18th, and Beta 4 was released earlier this same month. This is an iPad only release.
Developer of GreenPois0n - p0sixninja has just posted a long detailed post, clearing out the confusions that many of you may be having regarding GreenPois0n, Chronic Dev Team and their authenticity. According to him, they have have found an exploit in the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware which will be able to unlock and jailbreak iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), and iPod touch 3G untethered. All they are now waiting is for the iPad with iPhone 3.2 to hit shelves on April 3rd.
