McDonald’s Implementing NFC Mobile Payment System Ahead Of iPhone 6 Launch

Aatif·September 4, 2014
Mobile payments became all the more rage when NFC was first introduced with Android devices, since the technology offered possibilities for users to fully leverage not just Google Wallet, but mobile payments in general. A lot of consumer brands were quick to jump onto the bandwagon, but a lot of them held back as well, particularly in the U.S. One factor behind this could be the fact that the U.S. market is dominated by the iPhone, and the Cupertino tech giant has so far held back from adapting the NFC technology. That all is expected to change with the iPhone 6, which, in all likelihood, will feature an NFC chip manufactured by XNP. Now, McDonald’s joins the foray of companies that are implementing mobile payments across its outlets, indicated by an internal memo released today.

China Mobile Has iPhone 6 Up For Pre-Order Already

Ben Reid·September 3, 2014
Apple may yet to have announced the impending iPhone 6, but China Mobile, the nation's foremost carrier, is already taking pre-orders of the device. Although it seems strange for a network operator to begin making such moves a full week before announcement, it's not uncommon as the scrum begins to gather in the army of consumers, and although prospective iPhone 6 owners on China Mobile can select from the 4.7-inch or 5.5-inch models, key details and actual images of the device are, rather unsurprisingly, off the agenda for now.

iPhone 6 Compared To iPhone 5S In The Highest Quality Video Leak Yet

Oliver Haslam·September 2, 2014
We're not sure what we're looking forward to the most when Apple takes the covers off the iPhone 6 - the chance to buy one or the end of all the leaks. Don't get us wrong, we find the whole cat and mouse thing as much as anyone, but it does eventually start to get little bit silly.

O2 UK Posts A Mighty Clever iPhone 6 Ad In The Newspaper [Photo]

Ben Reid·September 2, 2014
The iPhone 6 looks set to be announced by Apple next week, and it seems like every retailer and carrier is getting involved in hyping it up. O2, a major network operator in the United Kingdom, has joined in with the fanfare by posting a newspaper ad that refers to a secret, unannounced device, and although it could refer to a number of upcoming handsets, it's clear that iPhone Fever is now gripping one of the UK's foremost carriers.

Aatif·August 30, 2014
It’s become official now that the new iPhone 6 is finally coming on September 9th - something that has been in the rumors for quite some time now. However, it’s absolutely certain now and has been certain even before, that no one would be getting even a sneak peak at the actual device until whatever it date it gets for the official unveiling. That never discouraged people from speculating what the device can look like through concept designs, and now, a luxury retailer has put together a bootable prototype of the iPhone 6 through several leaked parts. Yup, it does boot!

iPhone 6 Sapphire Glass Vs Gorilla Glass – Durability Test [Video]

Sapphire Glass. It sounds so lovely, doesn't it? And for the past few months, it's been used to talk-up the impending iPhone 6. But while Apple will no doubt wax poetic about this material upon the launch of its next-gen smartphone, the only way to tell if it's more than just a gimmick is to see how it holds up against the current Gorilla Glass, and now, a video of the stress test that everyone's been waiting on has emerged.

Apple Bringing NFC To iPhone 6 In Collaboration With Dutch Firm NXP

Oliver Haslam·August 29, 2014
It's a rumor that crops up every year and has Apple supposedly bringing NFC support to whatever iPhone it is working on at the time. This year has been no different, but with perhaps a little more to it this time around. If you've been hopeful of an NFC equipped iPhone in the past, then you may be in luck.

Both iPhone 6 And iPhone 6L Will Cost More Than Previous iPhone Models, Says Report

Ben Reid·August 29, 2014
Although most of the rumors we'll be hearing over the next couple of weeks will likely tread on old ground, the fact that we've official confirmation of the iPhone 6 event places renewed emphasis on whatever is divulged. For example, it has long since been suggested that Apple's next-gen iPhone will be pricier than the current-generation iPhone 5s, but with carriers now coming through with figures for the retail run of the fruit company's impending handset, we perhaps didn't realize just how much more it will be costing.
