Cinq is a new application for iOS devices that wirelessly transfers pictures from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to your home Mac or PC and it works over 3G and Wi-Fi. There are three versions of the app to choose from: a paid version for the iPhone / iPod touch, a free but ad-supported version for the iPhone / iPod touch, and a paid version for the iPad.
A new bookmarklet by the name of iOSFlashVideo has been released which allows iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users to watch Flash videos from sites such as Megavideo, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Flickr Video etc. right from the Safari browser (via native iOS media player).
The developer behind the well known TinyUmbrella program has confirmed that a new upcoming update to his program will allow you to restore your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to a selected iOS firmware without having to use iTunes.
Time Magazine today has published its list of “The Top 10 Everything of 2010” in which they have picked up Apple’s iPad as the winner for their “Top 10 Gadgets” of the year award. The three other Apple products that made TIME’s Top 10 2010 gadgets list were: 11-inch MacBook Air (3rd place), iPhone 4 (6th place) and Apple TV (7th place). Graviboard Makes Your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch Homescreen Icons Lose Their Gravity [Jailbreak Tweak]
Graviboard is a cool new Cydia tweak developed by Conradev. Once activated, it will make the your homescreen icons loose gravity. There are a few different settings of gravity to choose from such as Earth, Moon, and Zero Gravity.
iSHSHit is a new Cydia app that is an alternative to Tiny Umbrella. It lets you save and backup SHSH blobs directly off your iOS device. It also has the original functionality of being able to send your saved SHSH blobs via email, which is a very handy feature. It also automatically uses the Cydia On-File service, meaning that your SHSH blobs will also be saved on the Cydia servers.
AirPlay was introduced with iOS 4.2.x which allowed users to stream audio, video and photos via supported iOS devices so that you can watch them on your television sets (using Apple TV). This feature though came with its share of limitations, the primary being the lack of support for third-party apps, and audio-only streaming from Safari.
