After releasing a jailbreak app which enables AirPlay functionality via third-party apps, Erica Sadun has now released AirPlayer for Mac OS X which mimics as Apple TV (2nd-gen) to playback videos from iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to your Mac. Perfect for those of you who use 27-inch iMac or Cinema Display as your TV.
Apple has just pushed a minor update for the second-generation Apple TV owners. While there is no official change log yet, this update seems to be minor, mainly released to fix bugs and security loopholes.

FireCore have just announced that they will be releasing a web browser and a Last.fm application for the second generation Apple TV in the form of a neat software suite called aTV Flash (black), the beta release of which is only a few weeks away.
